Creating and Managing RFQs From the Item Library

00:00: This video demonstrates how to create a RFQ from the items library while

00:04: efficiently using tags.

00:06: It also covers adding notes, selecting suppliers, and sending the RFQ through various

00:11: methods.

00:13: To star, We're going to select the items Library. You'll see a list of all the items

00:18: added into sustainment. To filter through tags,

00:21: select the drop down. We'll select these two here.

00:27: And it'll show us all the items that have these tags applied.

00:31: As well as recent POs that they might have been on, previous suppliers, and the last

00:35: delivery date.

00:37: To start,

00:37: we're going select a couple of item here.

00:42: And once we've selected them, we'll hit add RFQ.

00:46: Once you've selected that you will be re routed to the RFQ page.

00:51: This is where you can build out the actual RFQ.

00:54: You can select to email the RFQ to existing suppliers, or you could post it into

00:59: our network of suppliers.

01:00: For the details, we're going to give

01:04: The RFQ and name, give it a due date, and then any description that you need.

01:09: this is going to be an optional field.

01:14: As you scroll down, you will see the items,

01:16: any revisions if they exist.

01:18: You can also click into the item, see the description, see the drawings, as well as

01:23: the history of any RFQs that's been awarded.

01:31: Furthermore, you can adjust the quantity.

01:38: If there are any notes, perhaps a supplier part number, you can add that in here as

01:42: well.

01:47: Once you've come down to the select suppliers, this is where you can use the same

01:51: tags

01:51: we used to search the items in and it'll pull all the suppliers that you have

01:54: included with those tags.

01:59: If there's any additional files you can choose to add them in here

02:02: and then for sharing options.

02:05: You can choose to require the suppliers to log into sustainment.

02:11: And this is where you can also select if it needs to have an NDA or ITAR

02:15: registration, or you can send it through email.

02:18: If you send it through email, they do not need to sign in to sustainment.

02:22: They can respond directly to the email and it'll update within the sustainment

02:25: platform as well.

02:28: once you're ready to send it out, you'll hit add RFQ and that'll actually create the

02:32: RFQ and send it out to your suppliers.
